Multifunctional?
All crayons by Linda Hallberg cosmetics have been approved for use on the eye, lip, brow and body area so far, while the new set contains a crayon called Delighted that is specifically intended for use on the lips. Whereas I thought this meant that it’s the only one not approved for the eye area, this is the actual reasoning listed on their website:
»Due to the fact that we are way ahead the beauty industry with our multi-use concept, the regulatories have not been able to catch up on the fact that an eye pencil, carefully developed, can be used as a lip pencil. In this industry, a lip pencil is only intented to be used on lips and therefore is only approved and tested for this cause. Until we have been able to convince the regulatory that the future of cosmetics has a different approach, we must follow the rules and safety concerns. Therefore we can only claim Delighted Mood Crayon as a lip pencil. We love to break the rules, that’s what we have been doing since 2016. But we have the most outmost respect for the laws and we are not interested in breaking them, only changing them. And for that we need a little bit more time.«
So what does this mean for us? If I understood correctly, all crayons in the Fusion Kit can be used anywhere on face and body, however only Delighted is officially approved to be suitable for use on the lips. At your own risk, you can still use any of the other crayons there if you like.
your swatches look beautiful! I have no interest in limited edition products, it would be cool if she released more permanent crayons. I also notice an inconsistency in formula, I bought the Mood Crayon kit last year on black friday, this year I got brown and greige. In my opinion the yellow and orange are the weakest, blue and green are nice, only the red, brown and greige feel high-end to me: smooth and pigmented.
I agree, I’m disappointed these are limited edition too. But I hope that means they might make a permanent set next – probably not mixed textures then. Yeah the yellow is by far the weekest sadly which certainly has to do with the pigments being harder to work with. I only have the cream and the greige from the core crayon kit. I also think that the greige and red are amazing! The blue is however my ultimate fave as it’s soo silky and pigmented and for me it even works as a comfortable smudge-proof lipstick. The blue I swatched here however is dried out and I already bought a new one. Don’t know why I swatched with the dry one 😀 An regarding the pricing – I only ever purchase their crayons on sale. Absolutely worth it to me since I don’t know of many alternatives and appreciate the multifunctionailty so so much! And supporting a vegan indie brand from Europe!
